Which foundation is right for me? What should I look for in a foundation?
These are all great questions and I hope that this blog post will help guide you to the perfect fit for you!! I have tried all of these out and am excited to share feedback with you.
First up - Ink Lasting Foundation Slim Fit!!
Details: Buildable medium to full coverage - available in 18 shades - longwear - comes in Warm, Neutral, and Cool categories
Sale Price: $22
My thoughts: This foundation is my personal favorite for when I want full coverage that is going to last all day long! I grab this foundation mostly when I'm heading to work, going to a special event, or really want to do a full face of makeup for the day. It is a slightly heavier feel so if you like a lightweight airy foundation this one is not going to be the one you want. I apply this foundation with a stippling brush or my fingers. I always prep my face with moisturizer (my favorite is our Skinvincible Day Lotion) and with our NEW primer VDL Lumilayer Fresh (absolutely love this one can't emphasize that enough - it is beautiful way to prep the canvas!!)
My current shade is C10 Neutral Ivory.

Details: This is my absolute go to for when I want a quick, ease of application foundation and want a more natural foundation look. This delivery system is a dream - portable packaging with a sponge already included and mirror makes on the go touch ups a breeze! This formula also contains niacinamide - which visibly brightens and evens out your skin tone - it's a gorgeous application. For me I do have to build this foundation a couple of times to get the coverage I want - so I feel this one is more of a light to medium coverage.
Sale Price: $25
The shades are compatible with the Ink Lasting Liquid so I wear C10 Neutral Ivory in this foundation too.
Next up:
NEW Cashmere Collection

Best part of this line is 30 shades!! You will absolutely find your perfect match.
Sale Price: $21.99
My thoughts: I have mixed experiences with this foundation. When I originally received it I was hoping that the formula would be closer to Avon's old Ideal Flawless or my beloved BB Cream from Avon that was my absolute favorite! I quickly realized it wasn't similar to those. My skin runs dry so when I started applying this formula I realized I was really going to have to prep my skin and also add some moisturizer while applying. It just added up to too many steps for me with my dry skin. However, I did my daughter's makeup about a week ago and it went on beautifully to her skin - just glided on. She has more normal to oily skin so I would recommend this foundation if that is your skin type. If your skin type runs more dry - try the Ink Lasting liquid or cushion above.
Update!! I wrote this blog post a while back and I wanted to provide an update on the Cashmere Complexion Foundation. This winter (2020) I have started using our Physiogel Hypoallergenic Daily Moisture Therapy Intensive Cream on my skin as my day cream. It's amazing for my dry skin in winter. So with this as my base the Cashmere Complexion Foundation goes on sooo beautifully! I have been using this foundation everyday so far in the winter. So my updated review is that it can go with oily or dry skin - just really really hydrate that skin before applying if you have dry skin.
Details: Available in 12 shades, creamy lightweight texture, soft focus matte finish, fragrance-free, vegan
Sale Price: $14.99
My thoughts: Absolutely love this concealer! I couldn't wait for Avon to bring back a creamy concealer we had been out of one for a while. This is my favorite for undereye concealing and also for breakouts. It has a flat tip applicator that allows for precision applying. Can't recommend this enough! And with 12 shades you will definitely find the perfect match for illuminating and concealing. My current shade for under my eyes is Tart. I apply the undereye application with our Makeup Applicator shown below. Love the pointed end on the pink applicator that can really get into the corners of the eyes.
Summertime Must Have
Details: Radiant sheer coverage, instant moisturization, infused with passionfruit, chia, and sunflower seeds, lightweight breathable coverage, vegan formula
Sale Price: Currently in a collection of Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price
My thoughts: Again, mixed review on this one. I absolutely love the formula on this - it is perfect for summertime when you want something really lightweight but still want a little coverage and a bit of a glow. I loved how easily this went on and the sheer coverage. For me personally, I noticed the more I wore it I seem to be reacting to an ingredient in it - my allergies would kick up. Not sure if it's one of the botanical ingredients - but my eyes would start to get a little itchy. I was really bummed about this because I really enjoyed the formula. I will still wear it every once in a while but can't wear it consistently. So my only negative is more of a personal reaction one so if you don't have seasonal allergy issues then this would be a wonderful choice for something light for you. With six shades - I usually recommend going with two shades and making your own custom blend which works as your skin tone changes throughout the summer.
Details: This is a sister product to the Magix Tint mentioned above. Buildable sheer to full coverage. Shea butter and vitamin E. Oil-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, tacl-free. Vegan. TSA-friendly.
Sale Price: Included in a collection of Buy 1 get 1 Half Price
My thoughts: The more I used this product the more it evolved as to how I used it. When I first got it, I tried to use it as a foundation stick, meaning I would use it all over my skin. This formula was too hard on my dry skin - it wasn't creamy enough for me so I would have to mix in some moisturizer. So then I started using it as a contour stick and concealer and really like this product for those uses. The packaging allows you to easily throw it in your purse and use for touch ups throughout the day. To contour, I use a darker shade and then for concealer I use a shade to match my foundation. Currently, I've been using Coconut and Chai shades.
